Born from a relationship that was already outside of the rules, Aehonyx never stood a chance as far as abiding the order of her realm-- even when that realm was Hell. She never knew either of her true parents, but her aunt, who raised her (for lack of a better term), is a powerful archdemon.

Growing up in literal Hell could've been worse, as with her unique powers she can hold her own, but that didn't make it easier. Hybrids, especially those with angelic blood, are subject to harsher treatment and more complicated rules. Limited use of magic, barred travel and teleportation, (more) severe punishments, and ostracization from certain events were among the things Aehonyx dealt with, but the worst was the individual struggle.

While demons are generally of evil alignment, they are still capable of caring for their young and their family-- however, Aehonyx's aunt had always absolutely despised her sibling that had fathered Aehonyx. As a result, she did nothing to control or curb the relentlessness of her other children toward her. Always, always fighting, physically more often than not, even when on "work" together.

It was on one of these "jobs" that Aehonyx made the mistake that cost her her spot in Hell. While on Earth, she and her brother were to make a simple collection for a deal previously made, and return home. Aehonyx wound up speaking to the human in a way that was, in her brother's words, "soft and disgusting", and gave her a shove. Something in Aehonyx snapped and she'd had enough-- without much of a second thought, she reverted to her true form and murdered him, quite literally biting his head off.

Of course, this didn't go without some kind of retribution. Upon returning, and realizing that, despite her absolute hatred for her brother, she felt somewhat guilty for it, she made a plea with her aunt for some form of mercy. But with now remorse on top of murder, her charges were only made worse.

Sentenced to 450 years of being tortured, prodded, twisted, compressed, etc. in her aunt's particular favorite chamber, Aehonyx was resigned to living for quite an eternity in constant pain and suffering.

However, by some strange twist of fate (which she isn't sure she even believes in), she was...set free. A stranger had broken in, or snuck in, and let her out, but told her to run-- because she wouldn't be allowed to return freely to the Underworld if she tried.

She had no idea who this person was, but she didn't hesitate to leave. Now she's on Earth, trying to figure out what to do with herself.

As much as she was chastised by her siblings for showing flickers of compassion for humans, Aehonyx is anything but… nice. She is brash, can be cold-hearted and hot-tempered, and has no qualms with laughing at others' misfortunes, or taking care of those who provoke her or get in her way.

Additionally, considering she isn't from the mortal world, she has little sense of boundaries or norms. This is evident by things ranging from her potential for causing serious trouble, and the ...less dangerous (usually) fascination for finding new things to eat (a whole can of icing? ghost peppers? cigarette butts? she'll try it all).

Still, she is not completely without her softer moments. If she were to befriend someone or see someone being obviously victimized, she may be inclined to aid them, if that side of her internal conflict wins out.

Aehonyx's human form is actually...very cute, with the capacity to be rather terrifying if she wants to be (and sometimes when she doesn't). With a soft shape, round face, and large, sparkling eyes, her appearance is one of youth. She is very pretty and under most first impressions just an adorable person. However, her small stature and soft look do nothing to overpower her eyes when she stares coldly at someone, having become very adept at steeling herself and staring down her enemies.

Also under that almost harmless-seeming demeanor is a very fierce fighter. Even as a human, Aehonyx is much, much stronger than she looks, more so than any mere mortal.

She also has some dark, iridescent purple-green-tinted black horns atop her head, and sharp canine teeth.

While in her home realm, the Underworld, Aehonyx rarely took the form of a human. Her true, full-demon form resembles an enormous, black lion. Her eyes are a bright, glowing version of the purple-green, and her horns grow out to be much thicker and three feet long, spiraling back. She is an exceptionally fearsome beast, and even though she wasn't allowed among the most powerful in Hell, saying she is a formidable monster would be a sore understatement.
